Frequently Asked Questions


What is required to use FREADING?

  • A e-mail account (used in the activation process)
  • An active zero-balance library card from one of the three Longleaf library systems -- Copiah-Jefferson Regional, Lincoln-Lawrence-Franklin Regional, South Mississippi Regional

Problems Accessing/Using FREADING?

  • Expired patrons must visit their local branch to update their registration information before they can utilize the FREADING system.  Access to the FREADING system will be immediately available once the account has been re-activated.
  • Patrons with money due on their library account must bring their account to a zero balance before they can utilize the FREADING system.  Access to the FREADING system will be immediately available once the account is paid in full.

Lost/Stolen Card

Patrons are responsible for all activity on their cards.  Please contact your local library branch to report if your card has become lost or stolen OR if someone has acquired your card number without your consent.  Please note that FREADING tokens can not be reimbursed once they have been used on your account.
